  1. This may have been answered previously but if Benedict dies sooner than Francis, then no apparent change will happen as everyone overwhelmingly, even nearly all traditional clergy, accept Francis, correct?

    And if Francis then dies, then all the cardinals elevated to that rank by Francis will elect a new pope, correct? But if Francis is antipope as you claim then the next elected pope will also be antipope and so on for the foreseeable future?

    • If Pope Benedict XVI dies first, a new pope will have to be elected by those whose competence it is to do so. If Jorge Bergoglio dies first, a new election while Benedict XVI is still alive will produce another antipope.
