Dr. Andrea Cionci is one of the biggest proponents of what is popularly known as the “impeded see” thesis. This thesis postulates that Pope Benedict XVI allowed the cardinals, unbeknownst to them, to place him in an impeded see while retaining the papal munus and thereby causing Jorge Bergoglio and his syndicate to fall into schism, and by this means save the Catholic Church. At the end of this post, you will find a short summary prepared by a friend who holds to the impeded see thesis. You will also find a 10 minute YouTube video of the same.
Personally, I do not hold to the impeded see thesis, but this post is neither an attack against it nor against those who hold to it. My beef is with the doctrinal position of Dr. Andrea Cionci. In the video just below, Dr. Cionci states that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, Bishop Richard Williamson, and the “Lefebvrians” was/are in schism because they reject the Second Vatican Council. So according Dr. Cionci, the Second Vatican Council is an authentic part of the 2,000 years of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Hogwash! The Second Vatican Council is from the pits of hell and will one day be most solemnly condemned by a holy pope! The wreckage caused by this wretched Council is in your face evident for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. But of course Dr. Cionci, who holds in his The Ratzinger Code book that Pope Benedict XVI was “one of the greatest and most significant popes in the entire history of the Church”, won’t dare go against the same Council that was the baby of Joseph Ratzinger. Even if the impeded see thesis is true, what would have been a greater feat on the part of Pope Benedict XVI is his solemn public condemnation of that evil Council that has caused the loss of Faith of a countless number souls and continues to do so to this very day. But no; he went to his death never publicly renouncing it.
Another bone I have to pick with Dr. Cionci is his insistence that the impeded see thesis is the only way to go to get rid of Jorge Bergoglio. He criticizes Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano in the same video for not adopting the thesis (and states that Archbishop Vigano is also on the way to becoming a schismatic because of his association with those darn “Lefebvrists”) and goes so far as to say that he believes that Archbishop Vigano has made a deal with Jorge Bergoglio so that the latter would not be deposed. And what evidence does he present to back up his claim? Well, of course, Archbishop Vigano has not adopted the impeded see thesis which is the only solution to have Jorge Bergoglio deposed!
Anyways, beware of the doctrinal position of Dr. Andrea Cionci!
