  1. Hello. I don’t have Dr Feser’s intellect, but I don’t think he’s right. Jesus Christ told his followers to beware of false teachers who come to us in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. We will know them by their fruits. That implies that guided by His Spirit, we can use our rational and spiritual judgment to discern the true shepherds from the false ones. If during chrismation we were graced with the spirit of Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety and Fear of the Lord – then we’re in a position to judge the true from the false.
Similarly, St. Paul assumes we are able to use our spiritual discernment – guided by the Holy Spirit and the teachings of the apostles – to discern the true gospel from the false when he says, “If we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than the one you received, let him be anathema.”
I believe the Lord allowed Bergoglio to publicly apostatize from the Faith to allow us to choose between the true shepherds from the false shepherds. I have made my choice: Bergoglio is a servant of evil.
